Bowzers Rock and Roll Party at Mohegan Sun Arena

The main man behind, front and center of this whole Bowzers Rock and Roll Party is Jon Bauman. He took on the Bowzer persona as a 1950's greaser guy in a muscle shirt with a muscular pose with his arm, with a catchphrase "Grease for Peace!". He is also best known as a member of the band Sha Na Na. He continued to take on his Bowzer alter-ego as a TV game show host, actor, appearing in shows including Match Game and Password Plus, and including the action-packed TV hit series Miami Vice. Over the years, Bowzer, who now formed the musical group Bowzer and the Stingrays, regularly grace fairs, amusement parks, cruise ships, malt shops, and conventions all over the world.

So what's the secret behind Bowzer's relentless energy, wit, and humor? Jon Bauman reveals…

“If you want to have a decent older life you have to keep yourself in shape and stay healthy and not abuse and push your body. We’re all kind of like that. Everybody on this show, the reason they can do this at this level is because they paid attention and took care of themselves.

“I’ve been very lucky, to be blunt about it. We were lucky to be very successful pretty young and it took some skill to not have that all go away in some kind of crazy lifestyle, but it was very fortunate to be successful right out of college and then have a long career and still have people showing up when we still do a show.”
