Jim Jefferies at Mohegan Sun Arena

Jim Jefferies is an Australian stand-up comedian, political commentator, actor, and writer whose path to fame has been unusual – he first came to public prominence in 2007 when a member of the public attacked him on stage at the Manchester Comedy Store. After the attack, Jefferies decided to show footage from the incident as part of his comedy tour Contraband, and also in the 2008 live DVD of the show. The following year, Jefferies found success in America with I Swear to God, his debut HBO special. He continued to build an international audience, with performances at several festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Just for Laughs Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Reading and Leeds Festivals and the Glastonbury Festival. Jefferies created and starred in his own FX sitcom, Legit, from 2013 – 2014, and since 2017 has hosted the Comedy Central late-night talk and news satire television program The Jim Jefferies Show. To date, Jefferies has released seven stand-up comedy specials, his most recent being 2018's Netflix special Jim Jefferies: This Is Me Now.
