Muse –inspiration is their name, experimentation is their game.  Muse is one of those rare bands that use bass lines as the focal point of their sound.  Their music is highly-ridden with effects, yet brimming with substantial and engaging lyrics and melodies.  As of late, they have used touch screen control that is built-in to their instruments.  They use it to manipulate and control sound of synthesizers and digital effect pedals for their guitars.  No words are close to describe the breadth and depth of their sound, but for the sake of classification, they are often  categorized under the music genres of space rock, progressive rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, classical music and electronica.

Muse have released six studio albums: Showbiz (1999), Origin of Symmetry (2001), Absolution (2003), Black Holes and Revelations (2006),The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012).  Their resume is peppered with various music awards which include:  NME Albums of the Year in 2006 for Black Holes and Revelations,  five MTV Europe Music Awards, six Q Awards, eight NME Awards, two Brit Awards—winning “Best British Live Act” twice, an MTV Video Music Award, four Kerrang! Awards and anAmerican Music Award. In 2009, they received five Grammy Award Nominations, and bagged the Best Rock Album award for their fifth studio album The Resistance.  Collectively, Muse has amassed album sales of over 15 million copies worldwide.
