One thing you can say from a performance of Pentatonix (and there is a lot to say) is that all of them are always mesmerizing. The group has been the best a capella to ever exist, and their performances are always unexpected and delightful. Covering modern pop and Christmas songs and creating original material, their arrangements include vocal harmony, bassline, riffing, percussion, and beatboxing. Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola, and Matt Sallee have been giving the eargasm music to the ears, making it difficult not to ask for more.

Pentatonix was formed in 2011. Their first taste of success was when they won NBC's "The Sing-Off" show that same year. The following year, they released an EP entitled "PTX Vol. 1," a huge hit. This featured pop songs like Nicki Minaj's "Starship" and Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know." Another EP entitled "PTX Vol. 2" came out in 2013, and this was monumental as they earned their first Grammy due to the song "Daft Punk" from this album in 2015. This was the first among Grammy wins with "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" (2016) and "Jolene," their collaboration with Dolly Parton (2017).

They also release songs that go viral on social media sites. Their cover of "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and the Christmas song "Mary, Did You Know" are some of their greatest hits.

Fans in Uncasville, Connecticut, the time has come for you to see the Pentatonix at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday, December 22. Girl Named Tom, the trio who historically was the first trio winner of The Voice will be coming along with them. Adding the flare of folk to the ethereal musicality of Pentatonix.
