Chicago is an American rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1967. The members formed the bank while many of them were still at various colleges in Illinois. Their early years found themselves performing under various band names until they decided on the name ‘Chicago’ in 1969.
Their music style is that of combining mainly classical music, with Jazz, Pop music and R&B to create their own sound. Over their 60 odd year career, they have sold over 100 million albums and have earned themselves a staggering 10 Grammy Awards and their Grammy Life Time Achievement Award IN 2020. They have been termed one of the longest running and most successful of the rock groups, and also one of the world’s best-selling groups of all time.
